The XENIA association was established with the aim of improving the living and working conditions of sex workers. It offers consulting and health promotion services and provides information for managers, media professionals and the public.
The term “sex work” was coined by Carol Leigh in 1978, and was intended to help reduce stigma and bring sex work closer to other service professions.
